What Occurs During the Mediation Process?
During the mediation, you will go meet with the mediator first in the pre-mediation process. There they will go over the entire process with you and tell you what you’re going to need to do to start the modification process. Then, about 6 weeks later, you will meet with the mediator, the lender, the lenders lawyer and your lawyer.
By that time, they will have received all of your paperwork such as tax returns, pay stubs, proof of unemployment, bank statements etc; and they will be able to try to help you in all of the different programs that are available.
