A separation agreement is prepared that covers everything including custody, physical and legal custody, visitation including all holidays, birthdays, vacations, health insurance, uninsured medical bills, dental bills, co-pays, unreimbursed bills, debts of the parties, what’s going to happen to the home if they own a home.

All assets are divided; 401k’s, pensions, profit sharing, IRA’s, stocks, whatever you get in your divorce is what you get for the rest of your life so you need to make sure that everything is covered in your separation agreement.
