People always want to know what they are entitled to when they get divorced. In Connecticut, all spouses are entitled to 50% of all assets accrued during the marriage.
They are entitled to 50% of the equity in their home, 50% of all 401k, pension, profit sharing IRA and 50% of any other assets that they’ve acquired during the marriage. Any pre-marital assets are usually taken out of this equation.
